While working on a scissor lift, which is an elevated work platform, a section of ductwork that was suspended by a strap from the ceiling struck the elevated work platform causing the scissor lift and our client to fall 30 feet to the cement floor. He suffered life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, he was in excellent physical condition due in part to the many years he served as a Marine. While on the ground he could not move or feel his legs. He endured multiple surgical procedures and many years of rehabilitation. All of the defendants attempted to have his case dismissed. We were successful in defeating their efforts and in fact, we secured a ruling finding that the defendants were liable. The case settled during the trial. We made sure that our client’s financial and medical needs were taken care of for life.
