The BronxWorks Building Better Futures Fund supports critical recovery efforts for the Bronx communities we serve who continue to reel from the effects of the pandemic. Your donation will help BronxWorks continue to provide resources for children to be successful in remote learning, eviction prevention, emergency food and pantry programs, and career training and employment search. The Bronx currently has the highest unemployment rate in New York City. Please give today, a...nd invest in the future of the children, individuals, and families impacted the most by COVID-19. No act of generosity is too small to make a difference, and be assured that 90 cents of every dollar is used solely for BronxWorks programs and activities that benefit our Bronx neighbors. #BronxWorks Training Director Amy Greenbaum-Strauss recently shared some food for thought with staff: Many have referred to the last nine months as a marathon. Remaining committed to the restrictions and best practices that keep ourselves and our loved ones safe from COVID-19 takes the same long-term determination, commitment, sacrifice, and self-discipline as running a long-distance marathon. With virus cases rising and vaccines in sight, these next few months will feel l...ike the last leg of a race. Like a marathon runner, we are tired and aching and feel like we can't take one more step, but we know there is a finish line ahead. We need to continue to be diligent. So, how do we keep going? How do we continue to keep ourselves and our loved ones safe when we are tired of the restrictions and hurt from our losses of loved ones, lifestyle, and security? Perhaps we can find inspiration from marathon runners. How do they keep going when they feel they can't take one more step? #keepgoing #wearamask #MotivationalMonday

COVID-19 infection rates continue to rise in the Bronx. Please take all recommended safety precautions (i.e. wear a mask, social distance, avoid crowds...) and regularly get tested to ensure that you are COVID-free. This will help curb community spread. Please see this list of testing sites throughout the Bronx or call 212-COVID19 to find one closest to you.
