"From a tree a manger was made On the first Christmas, in it He laid Also from a tree a cross was made And on it, for our sins, the price He paid... We remember each year as the tree we adorn His giving began the day he was born As I gently place each ornament of gold In his hands I place my heart and my life for him to hold." -K Ross

The New York Department of Health (NY DOH) has issued visitor guidance for adult care facilities that meet specific benchmarks and are able to develop a plan for outdoor visits. A criteria of the NY DOH guidance is to share a copy of the visitor plan publically. Please refer to Brookdale’s Outdoor Visitor Policy Information for specific visitor guidance for the community once DOH criteria are met.

We are working on a BIG surprise over here at Brookdale Fayetteville, and we need YOUR help! Our beloved resident Margie is turning 100 years old on 12/12/20! Margie is a world traveler, and we thought it would be great to get 100 postcards from around the world for her 100th birthday! Margie was originally from New York City but moved to the Albany area as a child. She still loves reminiscing about NYC. Margie went to college at Oneonta State and became an Elementary Scho...ol Teacher. In fact, one of her first jobs was running a one-room schoolhouse! In addition to her rewarding career, she is a talented painter, loved the great outdoors, had a beautiful garden, and her travels took her from Australia to New Mexico and everywhere in between! Please send postcards to: Brookdale Fayetteville 5125 Highbridge St. Fayetteville, NY 13066 See more

Do you have old Christmas decorations collecting dust in your attic? Are you throwing away those old holiday lights or inflatables that are out of date? Consider donating them to Brookdale Fayetteville! We are accepting holiday decorations for our outdoor Winter Wonderland to be held in December. We hope with enough lights and Christmas cheer we can make our community a small slice of the North Pole this year! For more information, contact Bri at 315-637-2000.

Today we took part in our own Walk to End Alzheimers. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed purple sundaes afterward!

Brookdale Fayetteville 08.07.2020

While this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s events will be different, they continue to be deeply meaningful. They continue to help raise awareness about the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. They continue to help raise funds that make a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer’s. Brookdale Senior Living Inc. continues to be one of the largest corporate supporters of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This year, thousands of Brookdale associates, residents, and patients are participating in or supporting virtual walks across the country.
