Brooklyn Art Library 28.03.2021

In a year like 2020, we like to think of ourselves as an outlet to the noise. We are not just a home for sketchbooks, but we are a collective art therapy group, a place for shared stories and a time capsule to all of our struggles. As we wrap up 2020, we cannot help but reflect on all of the good that came out of a hard year. We kept our doors open through a pandemic, reached 50,000 sketchbooks in our collection (an awesome milestone, if we do say so ourselves!), made a new ...interactive website for our participants and brought our community together through virtual artist workshops and virtual university visits. We feel so lucky to have such a vibrant community and cannot wait to share the exciting new ideas and programming we have in store for you in 2021! More than all of this, we are so happy that we can bring you 14 years of a project that has touched creative people around the globe. By allowing anyone to share and be creative, we have changed the way that people interact with art. This is not the year we all dreamed of, but we hope that we offered you a bit of creativity in a muddled world. In honor of Giving Tuesday, Facebook is matching all donations and we’d appreciate your support. If there was ever a day to make a contribution to our small non-profit, it’s today!
