Students, Colleagues, and Alums of the Brooklyn Collect Art Department: 2100 CUNY faculty of all disciplines, ranks and colleges signed the letter below (started by two BC professors!) sent to Governor Cuomo calling on him to reverse course and fund CUNY including most of us. (here is the link) Please consider signing and circulating as we are approaching a budget deadline for NY State. If you are on social media Tweet @NYGovCuomo about the letter and use the hashtag: #CuomoFundCUNYNOW ideally every day for the next two weeks. Or call Cuomo's office (518-474-8390). Mention your support of the letter and demand no cuts to CUNY and funding to restore our campuses instead. https://docs.google.com//1FWf8QGNsx5Z4bZ4uF3WqNrasks/edit

Dear Students, We in the art department are reaching out to express our profound rage and grief at the recent police murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Tony McDade, and too many others. We stand in solidarity with all our students and everyone across the country rising up against police violence and white supremacy. We know that there can be no peace without justice and no justice in a society rooted in white supremacy and racial violence. If you are scared, depres...Continue reading

Hey Art Department - If you haven't filled out your census, please do so now! https://my2020census.gov This directly affects funding to NYState; we could potentially lose up to two seats in congress, meaning less representation (and less money) for disaster preparedness, education, and many other services. Please also urge two friends to fill out their census!... THERE IS NO CITIZENSHIP QUESTION ON THE CENSUS! See more
