Terra, one of our favorite yearly releases, is back and available in our taprooms today! It’s a mixed fermentation wheat forward beer, aged in French oak barrels for six months. We then further age the beer on cabernet sauvignon juice until it tastes right. While quite complex, this year's blend took a little over a year to get to that point, and is less acidic and funky than in years past, with a more focused approach toward a fruity, balanced sipper. Look for notes of cher...ry and black currant with an underlying hint of "farmhouse" character from the brettanomyces. 12% ABV. Terra was awarded best non-whiskey barrel aged beer in the Mid-Atlantic by the US Beer Tasting Competition. A high-octane sour beer that still does a great job balancing the alcohol, red wine, oak, and sour notes. Vienna Lager is a brewer favorite here at Brown’s. We used vienna malt for an almond and bread like sweetness and Mandarina Bavaria hops for a subtle citrus and pear hop character. It pours the color of pale gold and tastes like spring. Can you taste it?! Available in our taprooms beginning today.

Thank you all who raised a pint with us in person or virtually last night at our annual Troy Taproom St. Patrick’s Day Blessing of the Bar. We look forward to the day we can safely gather again en masse, like pictured above, because beer is social and best enjoyed among friends.

Brown’s Walloomsac Taproom and Brewery doors will now open at noon on Fridays for those award-winning wood-fire grilled wings, that prized table, the crazy good fried cauliflower, so many fresh beers, the best local beef burger, that stunning view, and so much more. Takeout is available too!

Now that’s a nice warm up! We are stocked up again with Knuckles, our bourbon barrel aged export stout brewed with molasses. Whiskey Porter is back too. Both available at our taprooms while they last.
