It's finally time for ice fishing. Get your ice reports, call ahead to make reservations or stop by for our ice fishing rental package which includes our Shappell ice shanty on a sled, Ion 8" electric ice auger, and buddy heater for $60.00 for 24 hours. If you don't need all of them we also rent them separate. We also have plenty of bait so you can get everything you need in one stop on the way to the lake. Good luck, have fun, and be careful. Unfortunately due to the uncertainty of prices and inventory, we will not be sending out our shot shell pre-order forms this year. We have placed an order for what we sold last year so if any of this comes in, we will be contacting anyone who placed orders last year to have first chances at what is available. Due to new regulations that will be coming in from the New York state governor, our Tannerite sales will be coming to an end when our stock is gone. The new laws will require Buckingham Hardware to hold an active dealer manufacture license as well as requiring all private individuals to also carry a license to possess Tannerite. Hey everyone! Bruce here. As a former 4th grade science teacher and life-long learner? Just wanted to share something cool with the hardware world... Last night, while reading one of my "geeky" science magazines, I learned a couple of things things that blew my mind. Thought I would share. First off...did you know that back in the early days, LP records were actually made out of Shellac before vinyl came into play? I didn't!... Secondly...did you know that Shellac is a bi-product obtained from secretions left behind from a female bug? Collected from trees in India and Thailand? I surely didn't! Next time you're finishing off a wood project, you'll have some extra knowledge to share!
