Thanks to those who came out Saturday to celebrate the opening of the Celtic Table. Hopefully, the word will spread of the new menu and how good the food is and more of you will stop into the BIC! The Door Prize donated by Mundo Images will be raffled off on Saturday, Oct. 31. You will receive an entry into the raffle on any Saturday in October when you join us for food.... "It was only an Irishman's Dream" Theme of the 50th Anniversary Celebration for the Buffalo Irish Center that would have been held this weekend. In 1970, the Gaelic American Athletic Assoc. of Buffalo, NY (dba Buffalo Irish Center) was founded to recognize and strengthen the proud heritage of Buffalo and WNY’S Irish community. The early years were fraught with challenges: how to pay the mortgage and taxes, maintain a pool, update the layout of the rooms, add a kitchen and pa...rking lot, and so much more. Volunteers painted, updated electrical and plumbing, redid woodwork, bricked over windows etc. to change the appearance from a YMCA to an Irish Heritage Center. The dream came true because of dedicated volunteers and community support. With your help this dream will continue as we share music, dance, food and the craic. The time to celebrate these dedicated Irish men and women and their vision for this Irish Heritage Center has been rescheduled to September 24- 26, 2021. On Oct. 10, we will celebrate the opening of The Celtic Table ( Home of the Pound Hand Crafted Burger ) The BIC will be open Tuesday through Saturday. Change of schedule: no music in the pub this Thursday ( October 1) but lots of good food and the craic!

Thanks to all who supported our First Annual Chicken Barbecue. Great job by the staff of B & W and our BIC Volunteers ( Charlie McMahon, Marga McMahon, Bev Jarmuz, Nate Jarmuz, Ellen Kuehelwind, Doug Lounsbury, Peg Beidenstein, Cathy Carey, Gary Holzerland, Stacie Sommer and Skip Sommer). With help from those who purchased tickets, over 50 dinners were brought to our First Responders in South Buffalo. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
