Buffalo Chamber Music Society 21.10.2020

Announcement: BCMS has purchased from the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center three chamber music programs that you can stream. These concerts will be available for 5 days so you can watch them at anytime on the dates provided. The first program will be available from September 22- 26 (Tuesday through Saturday). The program is Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No.4 and Ernest Chausson's Concerto for PIano, Violin and String Quartet. Their CameraMusic webcast treats us to performances of two of the composer’s works. Rounding out the program are two great classical masterworks, Haydn’s late C major quartet, Op. 74, No. 1, and Beethoven’s extraordinary, inspiring Grosse Fuge.

BUFFALO CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY ANNOUNCES 2021 SEASON The Buffalo Chamber Music Society in keeping with federal guidelines to address the Covid-19 pandemic has postponed the start of their 97th season until January 26, 2021. These concerts, usually held in the Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans Music Hall, will be moved to the main hall of Kleinhans if social distancing is still in effect. The free Gift to the Community recitals will also begin in January 2021... The 97th season includes performances by the Emerson. Verona and Jerusalem quartets, Quicksilver ( a Baroque ensemble), Curtis on Tour, the Brentano Quartet with pianist Thomas Sauer and the Frautschi, Nakamatsu, Manasse Trio. The free Gift to the Community recital series on Sunday afternoons will include performances by pianist Nathan Lee, saxophonist Steven Banks and violinist Benjamin Baker Subscriptions to the season of eight concerts remains at $125 for returning subscribers and $150 for new subscribers.
