3 years almost to the day, Buffalo Renaissance Properties was born with this first purchase of commercial real estate between my partner Joe and I. Together we tackled this beast and it’s 16 tenants to launch our distressed real estate renovation company. Happy to report that this month we sold this for $420,000 and will use the proceeds to literally put right back into another Buffalo project. Moving up the rungs of the ladder is essential as a developer. Always be aware that sometimes you need to start with the less sexy properties that are tougher to manage but can still be lucrative and then slowly improve the portfolio over time. We now aim towards a larger commercial project that can serve as sustainable steady income and a portfolio centerpiece that will help offset the high return but riskier projects elsewhere.
