SVX is the new solo moniker of Simone V Moss (Formally Simon Leahy) of electronic queer band ‘Bottoms’ & co-founder of the legendary Bushwig festival. SVX & Merrie Cherry have had a tumulus friendship for the past 10 years & were of the first pioneers of the current Brooklyn drag scene. They both share the love of drag, the rejection of normativity & enjoy the solidarity of living as outsiders. The first two singles of SVX’s new work will both feature Merrie Cherry. This is the debut track which was recorded at the beginning of Pride month at the Black Matter Matter McCarrenn Park Vigil in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It was the first time Merrie had spoken on a larger public platform in front of 2000 people. Merrie - After 4 days of a dark depression after watching George Floyd die in front of me. That experience turned my perspective of the world upside down. I felt called upon to speak & let my feelings out. It felt like this was the moment to really change things. Things go dormant, people get comfortable and this was my rallying cry to the people Please share, like & comment to help spread this message.
