Dear Passengers: As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 Virus (Coronavirus) Pandemic, the Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley Railroad management has determined that it is in the best interest of our passengers and volunteers to cancel all scheduled trains for the months of July & August, 2020. This decision is again based on recommendations and mandates from both the Federal Centers for Disease Control and the New York State Department of Health’s phased opening guidelines. ... The health and safety of our passengers and volunteer crew members continues to be our number one concern. Further train cancellations will be determined by future health guidelines recommended and/or mandated by State and Federal agencies. Stay safe and well as we continue to navigate through these difficult times. Bruce J. Hodges, President Leatherstocking Railway Historical Society Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley Railroad

COVID-19 Virus Update To Our Passengers March 21, 2020 Dear Passengers: In an abundance of caution, and in compliance with the unprecedented recommendations now implemented to combat the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we have decided to cancel all our 2020 Easter Bunny Express Trains. The safety of our passengers and volunteer crew members is and always has been our number one concern, and as such we are making this decision.... Anyone with a confirmed reservation for one of our Easter Trains will be contacted and refunded for their purchase. We hope this health crisis subsides soon so that we can once again provide our passengers with an opportunity to experience railroad operations in the Upper Susquehanna River Valley. In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to serving you in the future. Bruce J.
