She was grateful for the year she is expiriencing during these trying times and wanted to pay for 2 trees for any family that is in need. What a great example of our community we live in. Subject: Camillus Youth Basketball To All. We are very disappointed to inform everyone that CYBA for the 2020-2021 Season is on hold. The West Genesee Central School district informed me that they are not opening their facilities to outside organizations at this time. If things in the world and at West Genesee change the CYBA basketball program will be re visited in terms of using school facilities.... Thank you to ALL volunteers that have made CYBA the very best youth Basketball program in Central New York. Let's all hope this pandemic is resolved in the near future.

Hey Camillus- THURSDAY JULY 14TH at 10 AM EST, watch our very own Chrissy Van Allen compete in The Optimist International 2020 Virtual Oratorical World Championships We wish you the best! The Optimist International 2020 Virtual Oratorical World Championships will take place on July 16th and July 17th, 2020. ... It will be live-streamed on the Optimist International Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/optimistintl) and also on the OptimistIntl YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/OptimistIntl) beginning at 10 am Eastern Time. Our New York-New England Optimist District contestant, Christina Van Allen from Camillus, goes FIRST at 10:00 Eastern Time on Thursday, July 16th! On Friday, July 17th the last Region (French Speaking) begins at 9:00 am Eastern Time and they will have the announcement of the Region Winners at 10:30 am Eastern Time. The Region Winners will each receive a $5,000 scholarship. Then the winners from the 7 Regions compete for the World Championship starting at 11:30 am and at 1:00 pm will be the announcement of the World Champion who will receive a $15,000 scholarship.

We have plenty of talented students here in Camillus. I also want to recognize the 3rd place finish for Hannah Craybas in the 2020 NY-NE Regional Oratorical contest. Although she won't advance to the national, she is no stranger to victory in our Optimists competitions, having placed 1st last year in the District Essay competition! Again congratulations, and we are so pleased to have you represent our club in this competition.

Congrats to Chrissy Van Allen our local winner this past January! She participated in the Annual Optimist Oratorical Contest for New York State and the New England Division! Chrissy placed FIRST!!!!Next step... on to the Regional and World in July! Great job!! Best of luck Chrissy...our club is so lucky to have you represent us!
