Dear Camp DayDreams Family We hope this note finds you and your family doing well in this difficult time. No matter how hard you try and how much you want it, sometimes God has other plans. With heavy hearts we sadly announce that the Camp DayDreams overnight summer camp will not be opening in 2020. This is a painful day for the entire Camp DayDreams Family. There will be a Camp DayDreams year #21, it just will not be this year. We will be back with you to celebrate the Camp ...DayDreams summer camp magic in 2021. We are devastated we’ll be unable to be with you at Camp DayDreams this summer. It is very difficult to imagine a summer without singing, dancing, playing and growing with you at Camp DayDreams. We hope you realize we explored this decision to its depth. The health and well-being of our campers and staff is our primary concern, and we just don’t see a way forward this year. Our leadership team, hopeful that our planning, research, discussion, and passion for camp would enable us to safely open camp this summer, spent many hours combing through guidelines, speaking with medical professionals and meeting with our colleagues to redesign our program to keep our Camp DayDreams family safe. Ultimately, It became clear that we cannot open camp safely and provide campers with the powerful experience that has been Camp DayDreams over the past 20 years. We have all lost something so incredibly meaningful to us, a summer together. In these challenging times we lean on family. For thousands of DayDreamers over the past 20 years, Camp DayDreams has become a second family. Until we can all be together again, I ask you all to look out for one another. Each of you is an important part of the Camp DayDreams family. We wish you good health, safety and better times ahead as we will start working on making Camp DayDreams better then ever for 2021 and beyond. We will be back next year with joy, smiles and laughter. Always remember that you’re never far from your Camp DayDreams family. We are very grateful for your love and support over the past 20 years of Camp DayDreams. Hello Camp DayDreams Family. I miss you all. For 20 years we have been making memories together. We have been growing, learning, laughing, singing, playing, dancing, working and dreaming together. Maybe now more than ever, I want to say THANK YOU! Most of all, I hope and pray you and your loved ones are well. I very much look forward to when we can do our thing together again. It is our hope that we will be able to come together for year 21 of Camp DayDreams this Aug...ust 2020.
