Finally figured out the trout in Missoula with Steven NagelSteven. Had a great walk down the Rock creek Caught a few browns and a few rainbows but the cutthroats were awesome fighters. Headed out on a float trip tomorrow.

Out with the Grimsley's on Sunday. Another very windy rainy day but the bite was good. Started of with a nice Brown on the wire diver and then a very steady bite on the lead cores. Nice mixed bite with plenty of Rainbows and lakers.

Out with David and his two sons this morning. Very windy and a bit of a tough go but we ended the day with 7 lakers and 4 rainbows including Dave's 8+ lbr. Overall I would say a very successful day.

Excellent trip with the Branovan's today. I wasn't sure with the incoming weather but everything worked out well! Nice steady bite all day with a record number of browns coming into the boat. Rainbows I believe were number two in quantity but didn't hold up against the big laker of the day.

Killing it on Cayuga lake today! Barely enough time to get 4 rods out and had the grand slam by 9 am!

Great day on the Lake today with Ann, Gordon, Buddy and Taylor. Got a bit of a late start with road closures for the Triathlon but that didn't slow the fishing down. Had a pretty steady pick all morning. 4 nice Rainbows all better than 5lbs and several good lakers up to about 8+. Lots of throw backs and a bunch more lost at the back of the boat. Looks like if we can maintain some steady weather the fishing should remain great.

Fished with Jim and his wife on Friday. They fished with me 5 years ago in October on a very windy cold day with a tough bite. Everything was different this time around. Cool morning and a pretty hot bite. Landed several lakers over 6lbs up to 8.5 and 3 huge healthy rainbows with the last one putting on a spectacular show jumping like crazy behind the boat. Getting in to BIG Laker season now with some fantastic Rainbow fishing over the next couple months.
