X-RAY FRIDAY ANSWER: this dog ingested Gorilla Glue! Gorilla Glue is a diisocyanate glue and when ingested it causes two things to happen: irritation to the gastrointestinal tract, and once it mixes with stomach fluid/acid it rapidly expands into a very large, firm foreign body obstruction in the stomach. Symptoms include drooling, vomiting, loss of appetite, and a distended stomach. Luckily, this Labrador's owner knew she had ingested the glue and brought her straight to the... ER for surgical removal. The ER veterinarian made a large incision in her stomach, removed the huge mass of Gorilla Glue, and sutured the stomach back together. This pup recovered well and she was able to go home the next day! #PetPoisonPreventionWeek See more
