The Board of Directors of the Capital Region Land Bank met last week and approved a renovation project at 1009 and 1011 Strong Street in Schenectady that includes hands-on job training for City residents interested in a career in construction.

This Veterans Day I was proud to join Habitat for Humanity of Schenectady County to support local veterans and affordable housing within our community by breaki...ng ground on the first local Habitat Vet Build in #Schenectady. The City and the Capital Region Land Bank recently demolished three long vacant and derelict buildings, making way for two new homes to be built here on Carrie Street. One of these homes will be built for a local veteran who has served our country, with support from the brothers and sisters of IUE-CWA, Trustco Bank, and dedicated Habitat volunteers.
