Today we have Campfire Chicken Stew for soup, we also have spinach salad with crispy bacon, hard boiled eggs, onion, carrot, apple and poppyseed dressing or switch it up and add feta, cherry tomatoes and balsamic dressing! Our roasted BEET salad is back with fresh local beets and local micro greens! Don’t forget the amazing Pumpkin pecan pancakes and our delicious apple walnut pancakes with homemade chunky applesauce! Delivered later today will be our last Pumpkin Whoopie Pies of the season!! Warm weather this week and we have iced Chai, iced coffee, Frappuccino, and 5 varieties of all natural fruit smoothies! Today my sister Nicole Simons Barrett celebrated her Birthday and I was able to serve her this nutritious and delicious salad that is full of nutrition with every bite. The salad comes with local roasted beets, local mixed greens, local apples, shaved carrots, red onions, walnuts, feta, local micro greens, sunflower seeds and a warm local maple syrup balsamic dressing. We took a two hour hike after work to recharge for tomorrow at the cafe. Nature and food are so nurturing. See you at the cafe soon Friends!

The initials of the soup: NVM- and I made up the soup and the name! The first one that guesses the name of the soup wins a free bowl of soup! Our VOICE MAIL answering system finally works! We retrieved messages dating back to August 18th and we LOVE that you found us even without us being able to check voicemail! Pumpkin Whoopie Pies are BACK and they are Huge!! Available this week in collaboration with Plenty the Bakery and they go fast! Come see us for a whoopie pie and a hot maple latte friends or choose from the three soups! We are open 7:00am-2:00pm daily except Monday when we are closed to run a thousand errands and prep. Time to play name that soup and this week there are three of them! The first person to get 2 out of the 3 or come close wins soup on us! Remember there are multiple postings so folks are guessing all over which makes it oh so fun! I will give you a big hint; one has coconut in the title, one is vegetarian(vegan actually), one Sequoia Simons Folts suggested and one is just an all time favorite of folks up north when the weather turns! The last picture is of the golden beets we are roasting tonight for beet salad. Beets and beet greens are sooo good for you! Another long weekend at the Cafe and my feet are tired but after picking Kale, tomatoes, tomatillos, and peppers from our garden and securing more local produce from Malcolm Makepeace- I am rejuvenated enough to start working on cleaning veggies gearing up to make soups tomorrow! Thank You to all of the folks that offered us grace and patience today. To the families staying at the Naples Hotel - it was nice to meet you all! Today at the cafe 4 languages were being spoke, espresso and chai were the most sought after drink, laughter was loud, and one gentleman could not Thank me enough for having a yummy vegan roasted cauliflower salad.- it is delicious really. Today was such a special day at the cafe. Yes, I was running trying to keep up but in the midst of it Ed Joseph arrived and gifted the cafe these beautiful stained glass pieces that he created! Tonight I get to take a deep breath as I roast more beets and be ever so thankful for this gift, for the wonderful folks growing delicious food so we can make amazing soups, for my niece, Katie Wheatcraft who has been working extra hours this week keeping the café flowing and for you my friend- for coming in and allowing us to nourish you! Beets oh heavenly beets! They are so beautiful grown right here in Naples! Today, for the first time I tried the beet salad that I made up but hadn’t had a chance to try until today. It was absolutely delicious. The beet salad is mixed greens, spinach, carrots, red onions, dried apricots, Honeycrisp apples, sunflower seeds, walnuts, micro greens, feta, roasted beets with a warm maple balsamic vinaigrette. Can I get a oh those beets from those that have tried it!! Tomorrow we will be fully restocked with gluten-free peanut butter cookies from Plenty the Bakery as well.
