Stephanie Drehs is a local quilter from Lockport, who returned to quilting after a break while working in the County Clerk's office during the creation of the Bicentennial Quilt by the Kenan Quilters' Guild and the Dale Association quilters, and becoming involved in the guild. : Asides from quilting, Stephanie enjoyed embroidery and took classes in Tuscarora beadwork taught by Rosemary Rickard Hill. It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Kurt Von Voetsch. Kurt was our dear friend and treasured colleague. He was a very special person and talented artist who dedicated himself to the Castellani Art Museum and Niagara University for over 20 years. Kurt began working at the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University in 1996 as the gallery manager. He also served as an adjunct faculty member during his time at Niagara University. He was honored with the Vincen...tian Mission Award in 2017, and he left the University in January of 2018. A private service will be held for Kurt’s family, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. He will be greatly missed.
