Back in February, before COVID-19 hit, Carmarie's Dance Studio held a bake sale to 100% benefit danceability! Miss Michelle is one of their former students/ass...istant teachers and many of their former dancers from the Summit Center are now part of our danceability family. To all of our CDS students As we begin the week and your mind starts to think I can’t believe our recital is really not happening this year and your heart starts to hurt thinking about missing out on one of the weeks that we all love the most...please know that yes, this is so incredibly sad, it’s frustrating, and disappointing, and my goodness heartbreaking is an understatement! I think it’s safe to say we all are sharing the same difficult emotions through these t...imes. So take the time you need to process them and let them out, they are absolutely warranted! But, when you’re ready, (and I’m doing the same) take a minute and try your hardest to remember this...What happens on our stage once a year is a result of all of the thousands of tiny happenings that we make together every class, every week, all year long. It’s a celebration of 10 months of laughs (there’s nothing better than being able to laugh at yourself and with your friends), of sweaty days and nights when the ac is not quite right but somehow you push yourself to keep going even though it’s so hot, the struggles of that impossible step that you are not gonna get (until you keep practicing and then you do), the bad days at work or school that you forget about when you walk through the doors, the times when you figure out that working together as one class can push you to be better than you thought you could be and bring you to places you never thought you could go, the shoulders that you may have cried on that helped you through the tough times we all have, or maybe you were the shoulder, the time in tap class when you tapped so loud together that you overpowered the music, the time you and your partner finally got that weird step? but you still look at each other and laugh every time you do it, the inside jokes that only your class would understand. These, along with so many more are the times, the moments, that will stick with us forever so let’s all take a minute and be grateful that we were able to have them this dance season! Looking forward to our return and the time when we can all be together again making more moments and memories ... bigger and better than ever! #ourcomebackwillbestrongerthanoursetback Love, Miss Amber See more
