Important news! The NYC Arts in Education Roundtable has established the Arts Educator Emergency Relief Fund which will award one-time, unrestricted grants of up to $1000 to teaching artists and arts education administrators who are in need of financial support due to the #covid19 crisis. Raise your hands if the arts are your favorite part of the day! CAE and our affiliate, @partnershipwithchildren, have been providing summer arts and literacy programming to Community Schools across the city throughout July. We’re so happy that we’ve been able to keep the arts a part of this summer for students across NYC!

Summer is officially here and without in-person summer programs, it's more important than ever to help ensure that our students are hopeful, supported, and inspired. CAE is committed to bringing the healing power of the arts to our students, so this summer, for six weeks, CAE staff and teaching artists will work with PWC social workers and clinical staff to provide online arts-based therapeutic and community-building programs. Our teams will support the pressing needs of our students and families and ensure that students have the appropriate technology and families have access to much needed resources. Please join us in the fight to save arts education and ensure that #ArtsAreEssential. Link in our bio to donate.

Congratulations to all students, educators, and families on finishing the last day of school today! We made it through the uncharted waters of remote learning for all NYC public schools. Now we face a summer that none of us had imagined. Children and families will need our help to steer the course. Our vulnerable students living in communities hit hard by COVID-19's impacts have been receiving inspiring online arts education and critical social-emotional support from our a...ffiliate, Partnership with Children (PWC). A transition to summer without these vital supports would be devastating to their education, mental health, and recovery. With the healing power of the arts at the forefront, for six weeks during the summer, CAE staff and teaching artists will work with PWC social workers and clinical staff to support the exacerbated needs of our students and families through online arts-based therapeutic and community-building programs. We will also ensure that students have the appropriate technology and families have access to resources that meet their needs. Let’s make a difference in our students' lives.
