This yoga class will use movement, breath, and sound to honor and access your grief while releasing the pain and suffering that may be stored in the body this holiday season. It is a more effective and efficient form of psychic and physiological rest and rejuvenation than conventional sleep. Students who adopt this technique into their own yoga practice often experience profound changes in their stress levels, sleeping habits, and feeling rested. I used to offer one-time Nidra workshops and while they were both well attended and well-loved, I’ve been using Nidra weekly with some of my private students and the outcomes are amazing. Like any wellness modality, Nidra works best when practiced and applied regularly. Over the six weeks we will personalize the practice to you, learn how to deepen the practice each week, and equip you to continue the practice on your own, including a script you can take home. Join us for a two-hour workshop, "OMG, I’ve Missed Yoga Class" with Jessia-Bruneau at Center of Grace in Manlius! Saturday Nov 14, 10-noon, $35 Description:... A 2 hour workshop designed to welcome the body and heart back to the mat. A practice with a gentle depth that will be accessible for those who are new or returning to a yoga practice and also serve seasoned yogis. Starting with slow thorough warmups, flowing through movement with many opportunities to melt in and feel, invitations to focus on the breath, and a deep restful savasana. Students will be distanced safely into their own spots, sanitized props available for use (your own props are always welcome), and optional, masked-up, hands-on adjustments will be offered.
