In honor of Cervical Health Awareness Month, our team encourages screenings and provides education events to the women we serve. Homeless women are screened for cervical cancer at lower rates than the general population. Improved prevention and early detection are critical to ensure a decrease in cervical cancer for women who are homeless. Share this post and use the #EndHomelessness to show your support!... We implemented OpenNotes at our six health care delivery sites for families and children. The program allows patients to virtually access their medical records. This gives them newfound agency in their essential health care decisions. Our team also created a questionnaire for our consumers to gauge whether or not they believed having access to their records and notes would support their health care progress. Honest feedback helps us make improvements to our systems, resultin...g in a better experience for the consumer as well as illustrate the need for a program like this. Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing the results of our questionnaire. So, stay tuned! Learn more: https://www.careforthehomeless.org/news/open-notes/
