Chabad's Jewish Woman's Circle is excited to be hosting a Virtual Thanksgiving Cooking Demo with celebrity chef Susie Fishbein! Fishbein, named one of the most influential Jews in America, is the author of 9 best-selling Kosher Cookbooks. Many of you have tasted Susie's unique recipes as I use her cookbooks often when cooking for Shabbat and holidays. Another fantastic day at Chabad Hebrew School, in-person and virtually! We learned about our Neshama, the part of Hashem (G-d) that is inside of us, and how the neshama works together with the body to do Mitzvot. We created "balloon cars" to illustrate that just as the balloon guides the direction of the car, our soul directs our body to do good deeds. Tefillah time (prayer), songs, games and Aleph Champ had us all glowing with Jewish pride #Judaismcomesalive #learnitliveitloveit

A huge Mazel Tov to our CHS student Skylar (Malka Macabee) on celebrating her Bat-Mitzvah at Chabad! Through creative zoom sessions and outdoor learning, Chana and Skylar learned so many awesome lessons and explored various traditions and mitzvot in honor of this special day. We are so proud of Skylar, and wish her wonderful parents Mark and Angela, her brother Jaden and all of Skylar's relatives and friends a huge Mazel tov! Skylar - may you continue to light up all those around you, just as the Shabbat candle you light with your new candlestick spreads light and holiness, and is a mitzvah that has lit up Jewish homes and souls for thousands of years. Skylar, you are the next link in the strong chain of Jewish women who come before you - we know you will keep your link strong and be a source of pride to the entire Jewish nation!

Wow! What an incredible day of Chabad Hebrew School! We began the day with the CHS In-Person program, where our precious students learned and thrived in a safe and socially distant way, with individually packaged supplies and struct covid guidelines. A highlight project was our "Mitzvah Fairy Light," where students wrote a drew mitzvot they hope to incorporate into their home. We learned that we can make our home a "Mikdash Miat" - a Mini Temple, by lighting it up with good d...eeds and Torah learning. Just as the fairy lights light up, each of us brings tremendous light into the world and our home constantly. We welcome our new staff member, Morah Rena Gati, an experienced Morah (teacher) to the CHS family. We are proud of our virtual students for their awesome participation on our Virtual CHS program! Virtual students receive special supplies for each lesson, where we do prayers, "Tefillah time", interactive learning and connecting with one another!
