To all our students and parents: : As The university has updated on their website, UB will remain open and completely operational, besides the learning instruction which will be online. We wanted to reassure you all, that chabad house will remain open and completely functional until the end of the semester. Shabbat dinners, classes, Passover seders and dinners will continue unabated, please know that we are here for you. Reach out, if we can be of any assist...ance while we go through some challenging times. !

Wow! What a event! 150 UB students gathered last night at Chabad to pour, mix, knead and pour the ingredients to create challah. The Mega Challah Bake was held to support Challah for Hunger and in loving memory of Stephanie Ann Goldberg, beloved mother of Jenna Goldberg, a current student at UB. Jenna was joined by her father Steven Goldberg and her sister Halle who traveled up from Long Island to take part in this beautiful event in memory of their beloved wife and mother.... While the delicious smells of challah baking filled the air, the students filled their plates with a delicious dinner, and filled their bags with freshly baked challah. The mega challah bake program was organized by Chabad, and made possible through a grant from the Buffalo Jewish Federation

Wow! The largest Shabbat at UB ever! What Was originally planned as UB Shabbat 300 turned out to be Shabbat 360! A huge shout out to all the Ub students that came out for a evening of Jewish unity and pride! A special thank you for our co-sponsors Hillel of Buffalo Aish Buffalo Alpha Epsilon Pi - University at Buffalo Chabad @ UB and for the Buffalo Jewish Federation and Foundation for Jewish philanthropies for making this happen through a generous grant!

Horrified by the terrible news! Today, a heart-breaking tragedy took place with the unimaginable attack on the Jewish community of Pittsburgh. 11 people lost their lives. This is a time to stand strong together and strengthen each other!... Senseless hatred will never defeat us! Our prayers and tears go out to the Squirrel Hill Jewish community, law enforcement and their extended families and we wish that G-d give them strength during this difficult time. Let us gain courage from the age-old Jewish adage a little bit of light will dispel a great deal of darkness, and add in deeds of goodness and kindnes Am Yisroel Chai.
