Charter Boat Sundowner II 24.12.2020

Got out yesterday with Tom Dickerson and his family... conditions were not favorable for striped bass fishing with a 15 knot wind against the tide. The group still managed to put five nice keepers in the boat before we switched gears to Sea Bass. And just where we left them the other day they were still chewing. The group put a limit of Seabass in the boat within 10 minutes then called the trip early and we're back at the dock before lunchtime... if bass fishing is your thing (striped or sea) now is the time

After a cancellation from yesterday's weather the boat was able to get out today for Tom Rossini and his charter. The cool clear morning was a nice change from the summer weather and the fish were biting 5 minutes from the dock. Even though the keeper striped bass were not cooperating with us today the charter did catch plenty of blues, 10 short striped bass and a limit of sea bass.... don't wait till it's too late

After you catch them, our crew ices them, cleans them and packages them for for your trip back home. Here, 1st Mate Ray is filleting a recent catch of Striped Bass. If you fish with us on a weekday, we can arrange for your catch to be prepared at the restaurant at our Orient-by-the-Sea dock. Call Capt. John @ 631.765.2227 to plan your fishing trip now.

Tapco company fished on our afternoon run and easily limited out on the striped bass. They drifted bucktails and caught bass to 32"and a few dozen bluefish.A fair number of undersized bass kept the rods bent. We had fish on almost every drift with most drifts resulting in multiple hook-ups. . . .

Solid fishing today with Scott and his group of 9. They caught their limit of Striped Bass and capped off the trip with a couple of Jumbo sized Sea Bass each.
