Can you help us indentify the people in these photos? The Cornell Hook & Ladder Fire Co. was formed in 1896. We will be celebrating our 125th anniversary this year and (hopefully) hosting the Greene County Volunteer Firemen’s Association Convention in September. While going through photographs we came across 2 photos that we cannot date, nor identify anyone in the images. We have tried to include close-ups of some of the faces. ... So far we have dated this image to 1912-1915 at the earliest. The pictures have also been shared on the Greene County Historical Association Facebook group, that yielded no results. Any help identifying anyone in these pictures is appreciated!

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of our dear friend and fellow auxiliary member Suzanne Thrasher. We would like to send our sincere condolences to her family. Sue, who is shown here in street clothes, loved having this photo taken that day. She was not well enough to march with us but we made sure she was included every way possible. We will miss that smile! No memorial will be held at this time. Services are being planned to be held in the summer.

It’s that time of year, the members of the Cornell Hook & Ladder Fire Company will be going out this week delivering calendars in the district. We will be hanging bags with the calendars on doors and wearing masks to maintain social distancing and keep our community and members safe.

We had a great time at our first Trunk or Treat! It was wonderful to see all the trick or treaters who stopped by! We hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween!
