The Church of St. Luke & St. Matthew 01.04.2021

October 7, 2020 Dear friends in Christ, Grace and peace to you from our Lord Jesus Christ. ... We resumed in-person celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Sunday October 4, 2020. Only two services will be offered 8amand 11am, which were our standard services. There will be health and liturgical restrictions at all services so as to protect each one of you and me from contracting COVID-19. The restrictions are:A max number of people per service is 33% of capacity which equates to 200 people. Face masks must be worn by everyone (masks will be available to take)6-10 ft physical separation between people not of the same family, at all times. Contract tracing details must be completed before entry (a questionnaire is available) Sit only in marked places as this ensures social distancing. No hymn singing and no choirs(a cantor will sing at 11am service) No fans or AC No coffee hour or in-person social gatherings within the church facilities. Admission into the sanctuary will be approx. 15 minutes prior to the service. Cleaning of the pews and other surfaces will be completed between services, and after the 11am service. Bathrooms will also be cleaned after each use. Continuation of online services Online service of morning prayer will continue each Sunday via YouTube. Access via our website www.stlukeandstmatthew.org or through our YouTube channel Church of St Luke and St Matthew. Coffee Hour at the church is suspended. Our online coffee hour will now need to be rescheduled and vestry will consider an appropriate time and we will let you know via the weekly e-newsletter. Our weekly e-newsletter will continue to be emailed out each Friday to those of you who subscribed via the website. For those that do not have access to the internet you may get a hard copy mailed to your home. If you need it mailed please call the office at (718) 638-0686 and you will be put on the mailing list.
