Directed Drawing activities are a fun way to sharpen our listening ears and work those fine motor muscles. We did a GREAT job listening to our teacher’s directions from beginning to end, and look at the fabulous results!

Our students are enjoying a virtual trek into the Arctic for our current unit! One topic they chose to explore last week is The Northern Lights. The children were fascinated with the beauty of this phenomenon. After reading text, observing photos, and watching videos, the children dove into making their own rendition of The Northern Lights to enjoy! We are so proud of how hard they worked on their art projects, and how amazing they turned out. We began by painting a nigh...t sky: blending blue & blck paint to cover the paper. The children then chose the colors they’d like to create the Aurora Borealis effects. This project encouraged creativity, but also helped work out fine motor muscles, spatial planning, and encouaged them to cross their kid lines while painting the big paper!
