Keratoconus is a condition that causes progressively blurred vision, usually beginning in the teens and twenties. It is due to irregular bulging and thinning of the cornea, the front lens in the natural eye that focuses vision. Several treatments are available for keratoconus. Dr. Keshet and her staff preform corneal transplants, Intacs Implants, cross-linking, and specialty fitting for irregular corneas. To learn more about treatments for Keratoconus, read more at the Keratoconus foundation: https://www.nkcf.org//treatment-options-for-keratoconus-f/
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Keshet was selected to participate in the Eye Bank Association of America's 2017 Leadership Program in Atlanta, GA. The program, offered to select Eye Bank members across the country, allows participants to develop leadership skills in eye banking and promote collaborations between cornea surgeons and the Eye Bank community. Dr. Keshet has been a medical advisor for the New York Eye Bank for four years. She has been performing full and partial corneal transplantation surgeries for over ten years.
