The Moody Blues have distinguished themselves through five decades as that shimmering jewel vindicating rock music as a substantial contribution to Western culture. They lit up the hearts and minds of millions of rock fans with inspiring anthems like "Nights In White Satin," "Tuesday Afternoon" and "I'm Just A Singer (In A Rock and Roll Band)." Gordy Marshall, drummer with The Moody Blues for over 25 years has put together an amazing group of musicians and formed the band GO... NOW!, a tribute to the music of The Moody Blues. They are performing a live streamed performance at the Harlequin Theatre in London on Saturday, October 17,2020 and it will be available for up to two weeks after the performance to stream. It is our hope that we can help you start your weekend off with a song in your heart. We will also include the link to the full show for those of you interested in seeing the concert in its entirety. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy and miss playing for you. John Fogerty music is happy music..and we can all use a little happy these days.. Hot Rod Heart is the second track on Blue Moon Swamp, the fifth solo album of John Fogerty. It came out in May 1997. It took years for Fogerty to get "Hot Rod Heart" right as he reflected to Michael Goldberg a couple of weeks before the release of the album in May 1997: "I had the working title of "Hot Rod Heart" for probably eight or nine years, believe it or not. One day I was in my little music room going through different chord changes because that's how I usually write, with a guitar. I get a chord progression or a riff or guitar lick to shake the song around. And I was going pretty well with it. I could hear the sound and a bunch of titles went through my head. I said, how about "Hot Rod Heart?" Because I tried and failed a bunch of times with that. I started the thing going. And when I got to the line "We could put the top down/ Listen to the radio," I went, "Yeah, okay," because that described everything for me. I knew the picture or image I had in my mind would work with the music. The song is describing what to me is a ride down a long two-lane highway in the middle of the desert but at night. The moon's out or the stars...it's clear. It's not a hurricane. But you got the top down. I don't even know if you're with somebody but you're listening to the radio and you're cruisin', you're groovin' Enjoy our version of Hot Rod Heart. See more

Since this started: Thousands of events have been cancelled. 77% of the people in our industry have lost 100% of their income. 96% of companies have cut staff. 96% of 1099 workers have lost their jobs. The live event industry employs more than 12 million people and includes tens of thousands of businesses with a combined economic impact of over $1Trillion USD. #RedAlertRESTART #WeMakeEvents #ExtendPUA #SaveourStages To whom it may concern, In this dire time, we, the entertainment community of North America, are asking for your support. Live events have been completely halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Because our business is rooted in large group gatherings, we were one of the first industries to be completely shut down (early March) and will be one of the last to return to any operations (well into 2021), let alone restore former prosperity (likely not until 2022 or beyond). The live event industry in North America directly employs more than 12 million people and includes hundreds of thousands of businesses with a combined economic impact of over $1 trillion USD. This likely includes someone you know, are close to, or it may even include you. If WE do not receive government assistance the live events industry will literally collapse, including all of the people involved. We are asking for your support to help raise awareness in hopes that the government will provide the appropriate support by way of relief funding and necessary legislation. The RESTART Act is a bill that is currently moving through congress, but has stalled. We’re organizing a widespread PR event by lighting up as many buildings in RED as possible and posting pictures and videos to social media and news outlets in hopes that this will help push the bill through. We also support ExtendPUA.org in their mission for extended and expanded PUA, Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, and FPUC, Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation, which supplement earnings per week for those on unemployment and opens up unemployment to 1099 workers. A similar event was held in the UK on Tuesday 8/11/2020 which was hugely successful and included 715 buildings/structures glowing in red. The Ghost Light is on at the Clayton Opera House.
