It's been a different sort of season at Clermont, but it's been an incredibly successful one! We've had so much fun bringing you new programs and COVID-friendly versions of some of our classic programing. We've already doubled our average attendance this year--- and the year isn't even over yet! How cool is that?! We made this video to celebrate our wins as a site during a tough time. Thank you for all of your support in 2020, we're looking forward to bringing you programs all throughout the winter and into the spring.
Fresh new blog post just for you. Read about some of the lesser known Livingstons of the American Revolution from soldiers and statesmen to loyalists. https://clermontstatehistoricsite.blogspot.com//some-of-le

Our Winter Storytime and Livingston Open Mic Night have made Dutchess Tourism's Top 10 Events list for December! We're so flattered! Check the comments for the whole list!
Have you ever come to Clermont on a field trip? We've recently rediscovered lots of slides and photos from school tours in the late 70s and early 80s. We even have a tape recording of a holiday-themed school tour from December 1982! It's amazing how well preserved some parts of the tape are, you can hear the docent leading the tour and kids having conversations. There's even talk about what everyone wanted Santa to bring them. So if you came to Clermont for a holiday school tour in Dec 1982, I have to ask--- did you get your Atari?!
It's time once again to count down our top 5 most read blog posts of the year. Every Tuesday through the end of the year will see one of the posts. Today we start with #5 There Once Was A Family Called Livingston: Poetry in the Guest Books of Clermont and Staatsburgh https://clermontstatehistoricsite.blogspot.com//there-once
If you happened to miss our very timely and excellent suffrage lecture on Sunday with historian and feminist pioneer Dr. Sally Roesch Wagner, please check it out. What a privilege to hear her speak! The program is also available on YouTube; link is in the comments.
