The Country Pantry continues to serve hundreds of families each month. In September we served well over 900 families living in Clinton, Clark Mills and Westmore...land. We are seeking Thanksgiving donations. Our goal is 1200 of each item listed below. Canned green beans-1000 needed Canned cranberry sauce-111 needed Stuffing mix-104 needed Turkey gravy packets-179 needed Thank you for your support!

The Country Pantry will hold a food distribution on Monday, September 28th. We will begin at approximately 9:30 am. Please pull in to the parking lot and follow the traffic authority. See you Monday!

Thank you for the number of donations that have come in for the KIDSPAK program! Earlier this month we distributed about 367 KIDSPAKs. We continue to gear up fo...r October distribution. We are starting to collect holiday food. With the volume of people we serve, we are hoping to have Thanksgiving and Christmas food for all families that seek our assistance. Financial donations marked "Holiday Food" boxed turkey stuffing turkey gravy canned green beans canned sweet potatoes cranberry sauce applesauce also; shampoo, toothpaste The pantry will also be seeking NEW blankets for Christmas distribution. No used blankets will be accepted. Financial donation marked "Blanket" will gladly be accepted. Thank you for your ongoing support of the pantry and its mission to help local people in need.

MESSAGE FROM THE COUNTRY PANTRY Hello friends, It has been a busy month at the Country Pantry already. We were able to secure enough food for 400 families last week. This included a dairy truck from Vernon Dairy with milk, yogurt and cottage cheese. To date this month we have served 421 families.... I am truly grateful for all of the donations that come in to the bins at the pantry, Hunt Realty, Clinton Arena, and Kirkland Town Library. Food donation boxes are also being brought in from our local churches who are now beginning to worship together and businesses! In an effort to meet the needs of the families locally during the holiday season, I am now asking for the following items, and only these items, to be donated to the Pantry during the next few months. Canned sweet potatoes Cranberry sauce Applesauce Turkey gravy Boxed stuffing Canned green beans Shampoo Toothpaste Kid friendly KIDSPAK items From now on we will be distributing boxed frozen meat, fresh produce and hygiene items per family, at each monthly distribution. We will not be distributing bags of groceries. We can not purchase, stock, pack enough food for the hundreds of families who seek help monthly. If your churches and businesses want to help, please consider the holiday food list. Currently each family is receiving about 44 pounds of food. Purchasing this amount of food to carry downstairs to be repackaged, to carry back upstairs for distribution, is no longer feasible. We keep very small work crews for the number of families we serve and having food boxes delivered to us by a trucking company the morning of distribution is both efficient and doable by our volunteers.
