Since our 12/28 update, 47 additional lab-confirmed COVID-19 positive cases have been reported. With the significant uptick in cases we are seeing in the community, we ask you to be patient with the contact tracing process. If you receive a positive COVID-19 test result, please isolate in a separate room from your household members and wait for a call from CCHD. These individuals were captured by our reporting system as recovered but had not been officially released from isolation. There are currently 101 active cases of COVID-19 in our community. Cases are spread throughout our community and are not linked to one specific source. Assume everyone y...ou interact with is potentially positive, and take precautions accordingly. Here are today’s Clinton County COVID-19 case updates. Eight additional lab-confirmed positive cases have been reported since our 11/2 report. Of the 8 newly reported cases, 2 cases are associated with Clinton Correctional Facility, and 6 cases are other community members. Of the 6 cases among other community members, 5 individuals were already on quarantine (due to known exposures to positive cases). There are currently 42 active COVID-19 cases in Clinton County. Governor Andrew M. Cuomo has announced new guidelines allowing out-of-state travelers to New York to test out of the mandatory 14-day quarantine. A: Those under isolation or quarantine due to COVID-19 should not leave their homes, but are able to vote remotely as follows: - After October 27th, all applications for absentee ballots must be made in-person at a Board of Election by November 2nd. A registered voter may designate someone to pick up their ballot for them. Only the person designated on the application may pick up and deliver your ballot. - Applications for absentee ballots can be downloaded from here: https://www.elections.ny.gov/VotingAbsentee.html. - Completed ballots can be returned by mail provided it is postmarked by November 3rd, or can be dropped off in-person by an individual other than the voter at a Board of Election, early voting location, or Election Day voting location without requiring that the absentee voter wait in line with in-person voters.
