LMP is once again hosting a round of The Rotax Max Challenge Trophy Series in 2021. A new addition for next years series is New Jersey Motorsports Park - NJMP making it now a four round series. The other two hosting tracks are as last year, OVRP - Oakland Valley Race Park - Hannen Motorsports and United Karting - BWI. This was a great series last year and will sure be even better this year with there being no Grand Nationals in 2021. The RMC World Finals tickets in all cl...asses will be awarded to the points winners of this four series event. Escalating points awarded in each of the rounds will mean drivers are in it to the end. Make sure you add the dates for all four rounds to your 2021 race calendars. As Always...Stay Tuned

Open Practice...Saturday Nov. 7th With the wonderful weather up in the 70's that's coming over the next week, we will be open for practice this coming Saturday, gates open at 9:30am, track will be green at 10am ~ 4pm. As Always...Stay Tuned

This Weekend at LMP... Saturday we will be open for Practice, 10am ~ 4pm. Sunday we will have a fun race seeing as our formal Championship Series is complete. We will run a 5 minute Qualifier followed by a 10 lap Pre-Final and 20 lap Final.... Gates open at 8:30am, track goes Green at 10am for practice. Weather looks to be good for this time of year...none of the R stuff in the forecast. As Always...Stay Tuned

Rotax Max Challenge Round #3... This weekend from OVRP - Oakland Valley Race Park - Hannen Motorsports to finish out the three rounds and award tickets to the top three points finishers in the Micro Max, Senior Max and Master Max classes. These top three finishers will go on to represent Team USA at the Rotax World Finals in Portugal this coming January.... Tim Hannen, owner of OVRP promised a fun packed weekend and did he deliver. Tim himself sat atop a dunk tank where drivers had an opportunity to throw a ball to dunk Tim. Additional balls were also available for a charitable donation, great job Tim, the things we do as track owners...no one get any ideas for me at LMP...lol. Not to be left out, Cooper also hired three new candidates to help out with food pilfering and cleanup at LMP, only kidding, they’re three of Tim’s dogs, boy, do they make a crew, hold on to your lunches. Charlotte Motor Speedway...Day 1 part 2... After torrential rain yesterday courtesy of Hurricane Sally that dumped six inches of rain on the track and cancelled any hopes of practice, we’re finally getting out on track for a compressed practice and heat schedule today. We set up on Wednesday for rain on Thursday, never got out so setup last night for dry today and still ended up putting wets on with a dry setup for the first practice on a damp track today. As Matthew said, w...e spent two days doing multiple setups and the kart never even got off the stand!!! Finally getting out to learn the track other than multiple track walks. Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals bound... Loaded up and heading out, our team driver, aka Matthew flies in on Wednesday while the pit crew, team chief and track dog (Cooper) drive!!! Thank goodness for frequent flyer miles. As Always...Stay Tuned

First Rain Race of the Season... And oh boy, did it pour down with rain. Dry for the Qualifiers for the most part apart from Senior TaG who got about two semi dry laps in. As they say, rain is always the great equalizer, some running in it for the first time, a few spins, even a couple going off in concert that resembled Synchronized Swimming more than a kart race.... Oh well, it rained, it’s in the books, we started early to help beat some of the rain and consequently got done early too and back to our warm homes. Thanks to all that came out despite the stinking weather man getting his prediction of 100% rain correct!! As Always...Stay Tuned
