The mighty Liam was born at 36 weeks, weighing 5 pounds and 6 ounces. After being diagnosed with Laryngomalacia disease, he underwent two throat surgeries, and stayed in the NICU for several months. Today is a very special day, as it is #NICUWarrior Isaiah's 8th Birthday! Isaiah was born at 28 weeks and 3 days weighing in at 1lb 10oz. He was diagnosed with a heart condition before birth, and at 3-months-old he underwent his first surgery. To Isaiah's Mom, Cherise, our NICU team became like family to her. As she recalls, "Cohen Children's Medical Center, Katz Institute for Women's Health, and Long Island Jewish Medical Center are the reason my son and I are alive. I ...don’t say it lightly. You guys mean the world to us and hold a very special place in our hearts and lives.
