At 0720 this morning the Colden Fire Company was alerted to a structure fire on South Hill Road. Colden 9-2 arrived on location and reported a fully involved structure fire. Colden was assisted by Boston, Patchin, East Eden, Boston EMS, East Concord, the Erie County Sheriffs Department, Colden Town Highway Department, with standbys by West Falls and North Boston.

As we approach the end of 2020, now is an excellent time to make a donation to a charitable organization. Any donations you make for the rest of the year up to $300 are eligible for a 100 percent tax deduction under the CARES Act legislation. Previously, charitable contributions could only be deducted if taxpayers itemized their deductions. However, taxpayers who don't itemize deductions may take an above the line charitable deduction of up to $300 for cash contributions ma...de in 2020 to qualifying organizations, like the Colden Fire Company. We are very excited to announce that the first of our EMTs and other essential EMS responders have been scheduled to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine. In fact, one of our EMTs has already received his first dose! We thank the leadership at the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems for advocating for us as essential frontline workers and making this possible in Phase 1A of the vaccination plan.
