Thanksgiving Dinner prayer by Lida Bassler. Perhaps The turkeys of this world are shivering in fear;... Their time of "Service Above Self" Is drawing ever near! And once they're in the roasting pan, Naked and well plucked, If they still hope for CPR, They're sadly out of luck. Far luckier Rotarians, Whose services are showered On all the people of this earth; To date, Not ONE Had been devoured. So, Lord, Please give us grateful hearts That we have much to share, And willingness to do Your Will With helpful hands to spare. And thank You for the folks who serve To save lives and to tend Whoever is in trouble. Be it strangers or a friend. Rotarians ... In this hall...are We, And every one a winner: We're humbly glad that we can have, And yet not BE A dinner. Amen. Happy Thanksgiving to all in our community.

We received this notice today.... Service Above Self "On behalf of Jafuta Foundation I would like to thank the Colesville Rotary Club and Rotary Club of Victoria Falls for partnership with us in provision of safe water and a community garden at Sizinda Village. This garden will help improve nutrition, food security and income as family will be able to sell their produce from the garden. ... We have already drilled and equipped a borehole at Sizinda so the US $5000 we received from Colesville as their contribution towards this project will go towards setting up and equipping a garden. This will be our first garden to be installed with a drip irrigation system. OUR DREAM IS TO HAVE ALL OUR GARDENS INSTALLED WITH A DRIP IRRIGATION EQUIPMENT FOR WATER CONSERVATION. US $2000 CAN EQUIP A ONE HECTARE GARDEN WITH A DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEM"

It's the little things.. To celebrate Veteran's day, Rotarian's from the Colesville Rotary Club hand delivered cards to the New York State Veteran's Home in Oxford this year. We wanted to let the veterans and their family members know that we fellow Americans appreciate their service to our country. ... Happy Veterans Day.
