I just wanted to let everyone know that if you come to the shop and someone isn't there have a little patience or simply call before you come. We do the best we can but we are servicing the entire country and there is just 2 of us. I had someone post because my employee wasn't there at 10 am because he was picking up an order so we can have the best selection in the country for float fishing. If it's an issue you can order it online. I try my best and I work crazy late to ma...ke sure I can keep everything running smoothly. The same people who complain about someone not being there at 10 am sharp are the same people who message me all day and night asking me questions about cleaning other manufacturers reels, fishing techniques etc. If you want me to be as available as I am than please have a little patience and consideration. We all have lives and I didn't do this to have people hounding me about my time. If you can't deal with waiting for a little bit than call first; 716-627-7335. The chemist who worked with me to develop the line worked in the textile industry for 45 years where he speci...alized in Bullet proof vests. The material is called SUPERNIX. It's never been used as mainline. It the last couple years it was introduced to the dry fly market. So it had to float and maintain a very low visibility. I got involved and we worked to make it have all the properties that you want in a mainline. This being low stretch, floating, durable, stealthy, and smooth. Also Kahn, the chemist, made certain the diameter was consistent through the spool. It's supple but not to soft. It's so slick it will drift smooth through any guides. It casts like a dream. The diameter is very low which helps for many reasons. It mends perfect. Because it's so durable it doesn't loose it's ability to float. The low stretch 21% is lower than any mono on the market. This helps with superior hook sets. Also it will not continually get thinner and thinner which will lead to the leader breaking it. It either breaks or the leader breaks and if you have enough extra strength built into your mainline you will not have this happen. The main pound number listed is the knot strength while the tested strength is the actual strength with no knots on a breaking machine. obviously you want to know the actual knot strength cause we tie knots when we fish. Trevor Hawkins created the logo for me for the line and the leader. I wrote all of the descriptions on the back of the package At 300 yards this is an excellent value. Fine Float 2 from sunline is $20-25 for 150 yards for a far less superior line. I am sure you will be more than happy with this product. Out of the 1,000 plus spools sold this product really has a 100% approval rating so far. We always will listen to feed back and make adjustments. We do plan on having other colors in the future but this is extremely exspensive to make and the minimums are high. I assure if you are fishing correctly you will like the smoke camo color.
