The Odessa Community Conservation Club is hosting a memorial event in memory of Roy Paddock and Dan Jackson. Roy and Dan were both taken from us in the last few months by cancer. They were both lifelong members of the Boy Scouts of America both as youth as well as adult leaders and instructors as well as public servants. Roy is an Army Veteran, and Dan was a lifelong member of Golden Glow Fire Department. In honor of these two fallen heroes the club is hosting a Fundraising ...event on Sunday October 18th at the Odessa Conservation Club. Check-in starts at 8:30 that morning, and we will be on site until 3pm. The proceeds from the event will go to benefit the local Boy Scout council Shooting sports program. The program provides safe education to all scouting participants in safe handling and proficiency in firearms. The program provides instructors for Merit Badges for scouts in our area as well as facilities and equipment to ensure that today’s youth, and adults can receive safe and proper instruction in these sports. The event is a rifle shooting event. There will be several certified instructors and safety officers on site to ensure a safe day for everyone both in handling of firearms as well as ensuring that all COVID precautions are followed according to state guidelines. Everyone 12 years of age and older are welcome to come see the club grounds, participate in the shoot and get a chance to shoot some rifle calibers that they may not have an opportunity to do so elsewhere. Whether you are a long time fan of shooting sports, or someone that has never had the opportunity to shoot anything please feel free to join us at any time during the event to come out and have the chance to learn from our instructors. Tuesday and Wednesday the 29th & 30th. Watkins PD to hold re-qualifications at the range from 8 till noonish. Range will be closed.

Range commity have been busy on the indoor range. Looks great guys! New plywood, paint and hard work.

They are working on the 3D course today if anyone is available to help out. 12 noon till done.
