I have often been asked throughout the years, what is the best computer to buy. Here’s a cheat sheet for you all The order from best to last for consumers as far as desktops are concerned, followed by All in One’s and then Laptops... 1 Built by a technician (Personal, Office or Gaming) 2 Sony 3 IBM (Lenovo) 4 HP 5 Gateway 6 Acer 7 Dell For Laptops (The order is slightly different than it is for desktops due to architecture design of the hardware, but notice that Dell is still at the bottom) 1 Toshiba 2 Sony 3 IBM (Lenovo) 4 Acer 5 HP 6 Gateway 7 Dell All based on repairs over the last 30 years. If your happy with what you have that is not in the order listed, you got away like a criminal.

Due to the warnings of the CoVid-19, I will be limiting my house call travel to only those that are incapacitated for traveling on their own. If you require a house call, please be at your door as I will not be touching door handles or door bells; and please wipe down your mouse, laptop, computer, or tablet before I arrive with a recommended sanitizer. Thank you

Concerning the CoVid-19, Computer Doctor is open for business and will be accepting as normal all appointments. As a precautionary measure, before bringing your computer, laptop or tablet in for repair please wipe them down with a sanitizer as recommended for wiping door handles and other objects you touch. I will be taking pro-active actions on every repair; they will be wiped down before any work begins and I'll be washing my hands and using sanitizer before working on your devices.

Jailbroken or Unlocked, whats the difference? Many use the term Jailbroken to loosely when referring to the Amazon Fire TV Stick. The correct term is Unlocked. Why? Because technically you're not Jailbreaking anything when it comes to the firestick. Amazon has a built in feature that allows you to just flip a switch so to speak to unlock the firestick. Ok, For what reason would you care? The reason is so that you can install what is called 3rd party apps and watch shows you n...ormally can't watch without paying premium cable prices. Jailbroken is a term that belongs to Apple products. At one time I too used the term Jailbroken, it's technically incorrect, it's unlocked. So if you come across any of my old video's or ads where I use the term Jailbroken concerning the Amazon firestick, ignore the statement, it's what I kept hearing and didn't realize it at the time of filming any of my videos. Unfortunately it became a universal term for the Firestick, but technically it's not. If you bought a firestick from either me or someone else and are able to install 3rd party apps, your firestick was already unlocked and you don't need to worry about it. Just enjoy your product and find support when you need it. Beware however of facebook groups that put other's down for using the term.

Windows 7 Support ends tomorrow on Tuesday January 14, 2020. So what does this mean? Does it mean your computer won't boot? No! It means Microsoft won't allow any security updates to be downloaded to your computer. You can still use your computer, you just won't receive anymore security updates. Within time, you won't be able to install new software that is designed only for Windows 10.

When I first started in computers around oh 30 years ago, I heard techs say if your computer isn't booting, turn it off for 10 minutes then turn it back on. Now I hear today 30 years in the future, by a new generation of techs, turn it off for 10 minutes then turn it back on. Well, because I was new back then, I forgot to turn it on after 10 minutes, can I turn it on now, 30 years later? I can just imagine the updates. By the way, this is just a joke.
