Hi all. Hope you are staying safe, sane and well. Sunday, I made the decision to proactively close the studio until it is safe to reopen with the ongoing COVID-19 news. I’m available for FaceTime, video chatting, or phone calls if anyone needs help with self-care, body maintenance, or just wants to chat. Once this all blows over, the studio will be open, freshly scrubbed and functioning strong as ever, with lots of newly time-inspired artwork. @ Connection Studio
MAY 2017 PROJECT: This is a dropcloth, but not for long... Where will it end up? Don't brush it off! Easel on into it!
Apparently I have a thing for deconstructed door bits. In the debate about which is more important form or function, I am always drawn to former function. (Ha!) It speaks to my creativity and strong sense of play. So if you'd like to see how I've played with some dead light bulbs please stop by on April 19th @ Turnstyle Designs from 5:30 pm-8:30 pm! Stay tuned for more information! #aimstallation #fascinator-ing #kentuckyderbyhats

What do I see in these? Ahh, the "last"ing effects of Connection Studio? Pun so intended!

Grouting complete, next step is to seal!! Many thanks to Amanda Rayburg LMT for all the massages that got me through the process! Please come by to see my beautiful penny floor!
Penny Promotion! I'm working on a project to tile the floor with pennies and I am in need of as many pennies as possible! For this week, bring in as many pennies as you can, and get $10 off a regular priced massage! Heres a sneak peek at my progress so far!
Heres an article from the AMTA magazine this month that caught my eye and some of my thoughts on it! As some people may know, Thai massage is a facet of massage that I find particularly interesting, however I find it difficult. One of the main reasons why I find it difficult has been a lack of confidence on my behalf. This is due greatly to the fact that I do not regularly receive Thai massages. I am confident in my therapeutic massage practices because I not only give therap...eutic massages, but I also receive it on a weekly basis and I always learn from my experience and apply what I learn. However, even though I do not offer Thai massage at this time, I make sure to incorporate many of the aspects that I find interesting - such as some Thai stretches and rhythmic compression - whenever I can. And for my clients, if requested, I will even do extra Thai stretches after the massage is over! My hope is to learn more about Thai massage, receive it more often and learn more; continuing to incorporate these aspects into my unique approach to bodywork. http://www.amtamassage.org/articles/3/MTJ/detail/2943
