While it may be a snowy week in Ithaca, we've got summer on our mind thanks to a new cherry tomato variety from Cornell AgriTech. A cross between heirloom tomato varieties, Cherry Ember has thicker skin and meatier flesh that helps keep the fruit from cracking both in the field and after being harvested, resulting in improved yield and shelf-life.

Intro to Oceanography is one of the largest and most popular classes at Cornell University, with almost 1,100 students each semester. Students normally cram into Bailey Hall to hear animated lectures about how waves, tides and marine ecosystems work.
