Registration has closed for our Fall Flag, all divisions are full. We are so excited to see so many new and past players in the coming weeks! For those that registered, please be on the lookout for emails regarding teams and games. All players will need a mouth piece and a face covering while on the sidelines (gaiters are recommended). We are also required to limit spectators to 2 per player. Once games are over, please leave quickly. Please understand how important it is to follow these simple rules because of covid. We don't want to be forced to end our season early. Thank you so much for everyone's support and understanding during these challenging times.

Dear Parents & Players, Cornwall Football is happy to announce will be offering a one time only coed Fall Flag Football season for 2020. Flag football is permitted under the New York State Interim Guidance for sports. We intend to begin play in October. Games will be played in Cornwall either Saturday or Sunday (mornings and afternoons ).The season will end in late November. Registration will be quick and close on October 2nd, so please don't wait! There will be a reduced reg...istration fee of $75 and there will be no refunds. If the season is cancelled before we start you will receive a credit to be used for future CYF programs. If cancelled after we start the credit would be prorated or not given at all depending on when cancellation occurred. We will be following NYSDH guidelines for youth sports which include but not limited to: masks for all non players, repeated cleaning of equipment, limiting spectators to only 2 per child, and social distancing whenever able to do so. Registration will be limited to only CCSD residents grades 1 to 8 (No Kindergarteners). You will be required to sign a COVID-19 waiver . If we are unable to register enough players for a certain age group that division may be cancelled. We are still accepting registrations and hope to have a 2020 season. At this time we are still waiting the final word as to when or if we will be able to have a tackle football/cheer season. The state of New York has determined September 21st for the beginning of school sports. The OCYFL has decided to follow any protocols set by Section 9 and or the NYSPHSAA. If we are allowed to play, our practices will not begin until September 21st . Scrimmages and games will not begin ...until October 10th and the season will end by November 21st . There will be no playoffs. Cheer fest would be at a later date if allowed. If High School sports are further delayed or we are denied access to school fields we would be forced to cancel. The safety of our players/community has and will continue to be our number one concern. We will adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines issued by New York State and the CDC. Please check your email that you registered for Flag for further information - Dear Parents & Players, Due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis the Cornwall Youth Football Board of Directors has decided to cancel the 2020 NFL Flag Football Season. This decision was extremely difficult but the safety of our players and their families is paramount. We are terribly disappointed and we understand the frustration our players and coaches must be feeling. We continue to hope we will be ab...le to get back on the fields some time soon. The board has decided to refund the full $100 registration fee that CYF collected for Flag Football. If you paid by credit card your card will be credited. If you paid by check we will mail you a refund check. Unfortunately we cannot allow you to roll over any fees to next year’s Flag or our 2020 Tackle/Cheer programs. We are doing this to eliminate any confusion or extra paperwork. As this situation is unprecedented we ask for your patience. We are in uncharted waters and we are unsure as to how long this process may take. The CYF Board, Coaches, and other volunteers thank you for your continuing support of our Flag Football program. This program has brought so much joy to hundreds of children in our community and we know that with your continued support it will do so in the future. At this time we are still hoping to have a shortened season. We know that this unprecedented emergency is very scary for all our children and we want to provide our players a return to normalcy as soon as possible. All CYF activities have now been postponed until May 1st and we will reassess at that time. If we are forced to cancel the season we would give a pro-rated refund. We are a not for profit and we could not afford to absorb any costs that we have already incurred. Please note it may take several months for us to process requests so please be patient. Due to the current Corona virus crisis, CYF has decided to postpone the start of our Flag season until April 19th. This is out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our players and their families. No practices or team meetings will be allowed until April 15th. Please be aware that this is a fluid situation and additional changes may need to be made. We thank you for your cooperation and are looking forward to an exciting Flag season.
