Fall is the time for change and here at Creekside, that's what we've been up to! After 6 years of operating out of a 10 X 14 shop, this year, it was time to add on! So we extended 8 feet, gave one side a tall roof for way more space, and my awesome mom got it stained before the cold weather sets in! Big thanks to my dad and husband for being the brains (and the brauns) of the operation now there's lots more room for your trophies to come in!

I get lots of questions about how to cape your deer out before you bring it to me... so here is a picture that might help lots of hunters!! Trust me, it's not as scary as it seems! :) just cut the cape about halfway back on the ribs and about 6 inches down the legs. You can cut the neck meat about 4 inches behind the ears. Super easy and it saves me lots of space!

Super excited about this project!! By far the hardest and most involved one yet!! The mount weighs about 40 pounds!! I think this bull turned out great! The camera didn't wanna show his colors very well, so check out the close up pictures and notice the heart on his forehead!

*INTRODUCTION TIME!!* For anyone who doesn't already know, I'm Haley, and I own and operate Creekside Taxidermy in East Otto, NY! I started this business when I was 16 and a junior in high school, simply because I was bound and determined not to go to college. I took a 3 day class on whitetail deer, and learned the rest as I went along. It was a rough start, not gonna lie. Being a young girl getting into a mostly male-dominant field, sometimes felt like a modern day Eliz...abeth Blackwell situation. But thanks to some amazing friends and family who showed me unparalleled support, I now have customers from several different states, my customer base doubles every year, and I get some crazy cool critters to work on! I am so humbled to have so many awesome people bringing me work, and I look forward to helping as many folks as I can with their taxidermy needs! I love to see reviews so feel free to leave one if I have done work for you! See more

Hey everybody! This is a post I have been hesitant to write, but after a recent order from my supplier, I've discovered I have no choice. For 6 years, I've kept my prices as low as possible, to give as many people the chance to have their trophies done as I can. But due to a spike in shipping and materials costs... I have to raise my prices. On my small game after costs, I've been making about $10. Not per hour, $10 total. And that unfortunately, doesn't pay the bills. So, I ...will list the new prices below. Feel free to share, that way new customers aren't hearing old prices! Whitetail shoulder mounts: $500- *$200 deposit due at drop off* Squirrels: $200 Mink/Weasel: $200 *if you decide on a fancy habitat for small game mounts, it will be extra* * I do NOT mount fish or birds* * I do NOT tan predator pelts, but per request, I will send them to someone who does tan them*

Wayll... after a few months' break, finally got around to finishing up the 2019/2020 deer season! This was my best year yet for taking deer heads in, so thank you to all who made that possible!
