Congratulations, Jim Wavle! Jim recently earned the designation of Certified Kitchen & Bath Designer (CKBD) through the NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association). This milestone was earned after passing a pre-qualification test and subsequently submitting a complete floor plan design drawing, construction drawing, mechanical plan and one elevation drawing for both a kitchen and bath. These drawings were challenging given the NKBA requirements presented. Jim met this challenge head on and passed with flying colors. Way to go, Jim!

Jeff Fredrickson introduces the 2020 Hometown Hero Roofing Team... Austin Parker, Ozzy Brown, Duma Gutierrez, and Corey Brown. This roofing team is second to none! They did a superb job at David Ferguson's residence.

Jeff Fredrickson of Crown Construction was honored to be able to offer David Ferguson, the recipient of Crown's Hometown Hero Award. Here Jeff had the opportunity to talk with Mr. Ferguson while Crown Construction's expert roofing team was finishing up the job.

David Ferguson, our Crown Construction Home Town Hero, tells Jeff how he got into Fire Fighting.

Jeff Fredrickson, from Crown Construction, presents David Ferguson with the 10,000 Home Town Hero award. Mr Ferguson served as a volunteer Fireman for 50 years. Besides running into burning buildings to save people, pets and property, David also drove the firetrucks; and as an EMT he drove an ambulance. He has helped to bring babies into the world and he has been there to provide comfort, holding the hands of people taking their final breath. David has cut open cars to ...rescue trapped victims and has spent many a sleepless night helping strangers in need. David has served in the role of Lietenant and Captain of the Fire Department, Vice President and Chairman of the ambulance fundraising drive, Co-chairman of the Annual banquet, and currently serves as an active member of the Fire Police. David has won numereous awards including the New York Senate and State of New York Assembly Proclamation Award for 50 years of service with the Moyers Corners Fire Department. Mr Ferguson fell in love with his wife Louise at the age of 10 and together they had 3 children, 9 grand children and 16 Great Grand children. David worked tirelessly training volunteers including the Junior Firefighters of the Explore Post; and 3 of his Granddaughters and one Grandson serve with volunteer Fire Departments. His daughter Nancy Holmes submitted the application for her father. She wrote "David has helped so many people in their greatest time of need without ever thinking of himself or what was in it for him. Over the years, he has helped so many of his brother and sister firefighters and their families as well as his own family whenever anyone needed him. He has been a wonderful family man, never missed an important event in the lives of his wife, children or grandchildren, and never misses a chance to let us know how much he loves us. He is a friend to everyone who meets him and quite positively the most selfless man I have ever met. I am so proud to call him my dad." Wow, Mr Ferguson you are a great inspiration to all of us! Remembering our heroes. Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We don't pass it on to our children through the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same. Freedom is never free. Wishing you a happy Memorial Day.
