After a brief hiatus, we're back with Player Interview #426, Robyn Flesher! You know Robyn as our longstanding Madam Voice during shows...but did you also know that she's a HUGE fan of Hugh Jackman? Or that she loves LEGO Star Wars? We didn't! Here's what she had to say: Q: Who or what brought you to CSz Buffalo?... A: I was in another group with some CSz-ers - (Eric and Kehoe are still around!) and got the bug. Q: Favorite CSz game(s)? A: I love Chain Reaction because it's always such a train wreck! Q: Most memorable onstage moment in a CSz match? A: I was guessing for 6 Things, and I successfully guessed 'krumping', which NO ONE thought I would get. I loved the surprise, both for the fanz and for me! Q: What are some things that bring you joy off stage? A: My friends! Q: What are you doing in your spare time until The Arena reopens? A: Watching lots of Star Trek, and building my Star Wars LEGO projects. #cszbuffalo #cszworldwide #improv #comedy #playerinterview

Player Interview - #5 and Dime, David McClary! You know him as the smooth talker, mathematician, and Score-O-Tron 3000 wrangler in our Virtual Voice Box, today's interview is with David McClary! We asked him a few questions about life, comedy, and Despicable Me: Q: Who or what brought you to CSz Buffalo?... A: I wanted to take a Standup Class but it was full. A: Playing Gru in a Halloween show with Cindy and Julie. Q: What are some things that bring you joy off stage? A: Glassblowing, SCUBA, Being a Track Dad. Player Interview - #9&3/4, Kelsey Wagner! Kelsey wears a lot of hats at The Arena! Besides playing and reffing, she also teaches classes (at an impressive six different levels!), runs our website, and coordinates improv workshops for local businesses. How does she do it all? We asked her a few questions: Q: Who or what brought you to CSz Buffalo?... As my ship passed ComedySportz Buffalo, my crew's ears were stuffed with wax, but I wanted to hear the Sirens' song and the rope that tied me to the mast was not strong enough, so I broke free and dove into the waters, swam to The Arena field, and I've been happily stranded ever since. Q: Favorite CSz game(s)? A: Naive Replay Q: Most memorable onstage moment in a CSz match? A: During a round of Game-o-Matic, I invited a game called Popcorn Waterfall and we had to pop three batches of popcorn to play it! Q: What are some things that bring you joy off stage? A: The ComedySportz High School League and Minor League! Q: What are you doing in your spare time until The Arena reopens? A: I'm alphabetically trying to "like/heart" every post on social media where someone has made bread. I'm still on the B's. #cszbuffalo #cszworldwide #improv #comedy #playerinterview

Player Interview - #33&1/3, Peter McCoy! You’ve seen him ref and play in our CSz shows, and you may even have seen him bring the funny to our After Hours shows in Knockout and dotComedy! Did you know that Peter’s also an amazing BBQ grillmaster? Or that he wasn’t the first in his family to hit the improv scene? Then you definitely want to check out his interview! Here’s what he had to say: Q: Who or what brought you to CSz Buffalo?... A: My son challenged me to take classes and I made my way up to Minor League. I was hooked the first time I came through the door in a match. And then Kelsey Wagner pushed me to work hard without getting in my head and I worked my way up to the pros. Q: Favorite CSz game(s)? A: Extreme 6 Things, GPS, A-B-S(C)ene, Switch Left, Sappy Love Song Q: Most memorable onstage moment in a CSz match? A: Playing on the same team with my HSL son during Improvathon 2017 and 2018, and doing word-at-a-time referee with Brian Tabak during Improvathon 2018. It was a tie. Q: What are some things that bring you joy off stage? A: Barbecuing, bourbon, board games, scuba diving, spending time with my family, and tinkering with things that need to be repaired, adjusted, reinstalled, tightened, updated, overhauled, changed, or just because I want to. Q: What are you doing in your spare time until The Arena reopens? A: Working from home, cleaning up my workshop, and enjoying daily lunches and dinners with my family. We’ve never spent so much time together and it’s been pretty cool. #cszbuffalo #cszworldwide #improv #comedy #playerinterview
