We love one pot recipes!!! This one turned out surprisingly well!! I was hesitant about the added milk, but turned out delicious! I modified @budgetbytes a bit since I already had leftover shredded chicken from my huge batch of chicken soup last night and added extra pesto and reduced the milk. Super simple and protein filled dinner for the family!

OTs are particularly skilled in understanding a child’s unique needs and preferences and like so many other areas of life, we believe that one mask does not fit all! We have partnered with some of the nation’s top kid’s mask makers like Mask Buddy so that we can provide several mask options for each child. At CTD therapy we love simple activities using items found at home to spark some creativity while promoting writing skills. Our kiddos can use pasta, cotton swabs or cotton balls to practice letter formation. You can also place some salt, sugar or shaving cream onto a tray and have your little one wrote out letters using their index finger. These are some of the activities we love incorporating into our Pre-Writers Digital Club to promote fine motor skills, visual spatial ...awareness in letter formation. Our class will be held outdoors, focusing on empowering and educating children on the purpose of mask wearing and teaching CDC Global guidelines for proper mask handling, storage and overall hygiene best practices. OTs are particularly skilled in understanding a child’s unique needs and preferences and like so many other areas of life, we believe that one mask does not fit all! We have partnered with some of the nation’s top kid’s mask makers, and so incredibly excited that we have committed donations from multiple companies, including Rafi Nova, MaskBuddy, SchoolMaskPack,NxTSTOP to name a few!! We will rotate distribution of the masks and each enrolled child will be provided a selection of cloth masks on the first class for theirs to keep, and they will make the empowering choice throughout the semester of which mask they prefer. Our Director was recently featured to share her expertise on Mask Wearing for our Children https://www.fox5ny.com/video/739415 Your child will engage in socialization and building fine/gross motor skills, all while increasing their acceptance and tolerance to wearing a mask. Our end goal is to prepare them for any and all environments requiring a mask, and for them to be able to fully participate with their peers! With all this extra family together time, we’ve been upping our board game challenges! My son and I started off with the Monopoly Junior but it lacked any type of strategy and excitement... so we upgraded to the standard version right away! And not only did my 5 year old grasp the concept of monopolies and real estate ... he won the game by a landslide! ... He ended the game with multiple monopolies and 3 hotels!! Yet another reminder in the books to not underestimate our little ones!!! It does say 8 and up but don’t shy away from starting them young! Feel free to modify as you go! We split up the game in three sessions but he was absolutely hooked from the beginning!

City living! When you can’t make it to the jersey shore, bring the shore to your terrace! We consider ourselves so incredibly lucky that we are able to have this outdoor space and get a breathe of fresh air whenever we need! Sensory play is such an incredible component of child development and especially in times of all this remote learning, it is so important to allow children to do all the messy play that was once reserved for school time! So time for us parents to get out the paint, slime kits and buckets of sand and let them enjoy some calming sensory time!

Tummy time at age 5! AKA Prone Prop on Elbow Position. A wonderful way to continue to engage the core, neck and shoulder muscles! I always try to hold this position side by side with my clients ... and I definitely have a hard time with it! Encourage your children at any age to spend time in this position while watching TV, reading books, playing board games, and on and on!!!! BTW my five year old is hooked on this series #pressstartbooks!
