I know you guys always see me trying to make myself happy by doing the things that I love. I’m a master at lifting my own spirits .. idk where I get it from but the reason God made me a hair care specialist is to also meet my clients who some have become my sister brothers and friends, to show them love and understanding and be a place to listen and know what’s going on with them and just be there. I’m sending all my beautiful sisters love that come to me every month, every 2 weeks sometimes every week. Hi guys! So quick update on me and things. I’ve had a few of my clients contact me about recommendations for their natural hair needs since I haven’t been in the salon for about 2 weeks now and I wanted to give you 2 recommendations I love. But little update on me! I’m well. Doing what I love the most being a mom, making sure my children are comfortable with all the new rules of life and just being me! I do however have recommended for you guys! If you need braids or any...thing protective style, please see @claudifiedhair who is great with braids and more and my new friend in natural hair @_beautyforash who actually took over the salon suite I used to be in. Happy Saturdays! hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy! I’m doing well! I wanted to post an update on things I usually ask my clients in the salon. At the sink or in consultation. One of the most important questions you will hear from me is Do you know your hair porosity level? This question is very important to ask yourself because, if you know the answer, it will help to guide you in how to take care of your hair moving forward. products to choose wash da...y routine and styling routines. Above are a few tips and facts on what you need to know about the 3 levels of porosity your hair can be. But first let’s find out how to check your hairs porosity level. One way is to get a glass of room temperature water. Take a stand or 2 of your CLEAN hair and put it in the water. If the hair sinks right away, that means your hair is highly porous. If your hair floats a little then sinks to the middle of the glass of water, that mean it’s normal porosity. If your hair just floats on the top of the water, it is low porosity. another way of checking for porous hair is to run your fingers down a clean strand of hair toward your roots. Feeling for bumps in the hair shaft. Lots of bumps mean, the hair cuticle is open so the hair is porous. If it’s smooth, it’s low porosity. If it’s in the middle, it’s normal. Please do these steps before you go to the salon. I ask this in the salon because It allows me to work with your hair in the best way, using the most affective products and techniques so that we achieve together the best out come for you.
