Application for Mass Flow Controllers in Industrial Processes... In a large number of industrial processes , burners are used in heat treating, forming, welding metals, as well as in glass blowing applications, just to name a few. Burner flames require exact mixtures of gases to control the temperature of the process. It is generally sufficient to know the exact mass flow rate of the component gases supplied to the burner. Therefore, the need to measure the flame temperatur...e is not required to control the process. Gases used typically are Oxygen, Hydrogen, Methane, etc. Both analog and digital Mass Flow Controllers provide low maintenance, high accuracy and repeatable processing parameters. So called smart, digital Mass Flow Controllers are even ramp programmable to facilitate appropriately regulated flow rates in automatic closed loop systems, or simply as a function of time parameters.
